I was tasked with creating a new website and app, with engaging features, such as subscription based video features to drive additional revenue for the club. I was also tasked to incorporate the new digital branding to give the digital properties a distinct look and feel.

2. Design Process

  • Designed video features and promotional UI elements for both users and paying subscribers.
  • Creating a design system for the digital products to promote the consistency and scalability of the designs and build going forward.
  • Created a visual design language to bring the digital products in line with accessibility standards and incorporate the client’s new digital branding.
  • Designed engaging and custom features such as a Live Match Centre, where the client could blog match event with integrated social media.
  • Presented visuals and UX processes to internal and external stakeholders to walk them through design thinking, approach, and benefits to them and their users.
  • Collaborated with engineers, handing over designs in Zeplin with requirements, style guides, and UI kits, as well as being on hand for advice, design reviews, and design sign off.

3. Results

Launch of the web and native app experience was launched on time and hit the key metrics on app downloads and views on the website within the first couple of months, increasing engagement for Brighton and Hove Albion’s digital properties.
